Middle of Nov
Yes. Best seafood in town!
Middle of February is last I heard
Yes
No, they don't. But they do serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day except Mondays.
We heard they were opening Feb 5
Call the restaurant. Website or Google should have phone number.
Do not think they have dinner specials during the summer months.
They are open for dine in now. Our family went while on vacation over the 4th of July. And it was delicious and well worth it. They are social distancing inside and keeping the waiting customers outside. But line moved extremely fast.
Excellent seafood! The service is always outstanding, super friendly and courteous! We've been coming here 15 years and it is by far the best seafood in North Myrtle Beach! Breakfast is excellent here as well. Reasonable prices and specials are always great. Still good to see a family owned business and down home service!
The taste of food is incredible. The service is amazing. The food has consistent taste and texture.
Food was delicious! We will definitely be going back!
Very family friendly. A small eatery that felt like a place back home. Seafood tasted fresh. Girlfriend and I both ate for under $30. We had shrimp, flounder, and crab cakes. Salad bar was very good. Very nice and sweet wait staff.
My wife and I are from York PA. We wanted a nice meal out but not interested in all you can eat seafood. The reviews for this place looked good. They did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The prices are also very reasonable for a seafood resteraunt. I got the fried flounder. I don't usually get fish fried but it looked so good at other people's tables. The fish was amazing. Light breading and not greasy at all. The hush puppy's are amazing. My wife got the broiled shrimp. She said they were delicious. For desert we got the home made peanut butter pie. It was to die for. They close early at 9pm durring the week. The wait staff are very personable. We will definitely be back next time we come to Myrtle Beach.
I don't know why they don't just put the shrimp and grits on the menu (it's on permanent special I guess) but it's easily the best I've ever had. The grits are freshly made to order so they're smooth and creamy, the shrimp is well seasoned and flavorful without being overly spicy, and the gravy is loaded with chunks of sausage. The peanut butter pie is amazing too. Get it to go if you have to, but get it.
It was our very first time there we didn't have to wait very long the food was great my husband got the hamburger with the fried green tomatoes on it in pimento cheese I got the old fashioned my son and his wife got the seafood platter plate my other son got the shrimp sandwich the price was great as far as the waitress she was okay didn't get a refill on drinks but one time and the tea was good but didn't have enough ice but if you want to try something new this would be a great place 👍😁
Great place, good food, wonderful staff and reasonable prices
The best fried oyster pobo, hamburgers, chicken and pastry Pies are out of this world
Our food wS excellent as usual!
Love love love. The only restaurant I eat at when I'm in town. Quick service. Just get there early there's usually a line. But well worth a wait!! And decent prices as well
Enjoyed the service and food. Had the fried flounder. It was OK. Will try something different to have a better knowledge of the bill of fare. Looking forward to my next visit.
Very clean restaurant with a fresh look. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our food came out quickly and was very good. This is a great restaurant for you and your family to visit. Great job!!!!!
Food was great! Service was wonderful
Best fried flounder in North Myrtle Beach! The homemade pies are awesome! I’ve never gotten a bad meal here. Highly recommend!
This is a must for breakfast and dinner every time we are in town. Everything is great!!
THE best cooked flounder I have ever eaten! Awesome casual atmosphere and service, too. Super friendly and helpful. Nicely stocked salad bar with "good" Ranch (need a better pouring container for sunflower seeds 😊).
Have eaten there many times with family.Best fried chicken in NMB and their fish melts in your mouth. Fast & friendly service also .
Just an awesome place for great food. They have the best fried flounder on the beach. Always a line to get in. That speaks volumes!!!
Casual atmosphere, customers lined up before they open, great wait staff and delicious seafood. The favorites for our party were the fried whole flounder, the fried seafood plate and the daily special (grouper and scallops). The fish was flaky, moist and perfectly cooked. The desserts turned your head and tasted like s'more. We shared the limoncello marscarpone white chocolate cake (made in house and fresh as can be) and key lime pie (not made in house but one of the best I've ever had). I overheard a customer ask if they could buy an entire key lime pie which speaks to how good it is (no but you can buy slices to go). A local favorite dining spot dating back to 1948.
Great and reasonably priced place for awesome seafood! We did a to-go order from them and they didn't disappoint!
Best seafood we have had in a long time! Great prices and super friendly staff! We will definitely be back!
We went to Hoskins for dinner. Their low-country shrimp and grits will be in your top 10 list. Grits soooo creamy and shrimp with that old bay taste is a perfect match. Easy access and plenty of parking on both sides. I recommend that you get there EARLY as there will probably be a wait. We didn't have to wait for long and we went on a Tuesday, during a cold rain storm.
Clean, friendly, and fresh food. We eat here multiple times when we come to Cherry Grove for our summer beach trip.
I've been going to Hoskins most of my life, it's always great!
Been at Myrtle Beach all week long and have eaten out every night. Haskins was great and Jen was the best waitress we had all week. We will be back!!
Good variety of food and family friendly atmosphere. Everyone here was kind. You can tell this is the kind of place with lots of regulars. There will be a line waiting outside but it moves quickly. We’ve done the salad bar, flounder, grilled chicken and hamburger steak. All have been good.
Ate here with my family while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. We wanted a seafood meal. We noticed the line around the building all week. We decided to pick it for dinner. Waiting in line for about 30 minutes at 7 pm ( their slower time) was fun. Got to hear recommended dishes and local gossip. Lady at door was so friendly. Server was awesome. We all got the salad bar and dinner. Was quite an experience. Nice cozy reasonably priced historic restaurant. Great to go somewhere with history!
This place is a delicious throwback, can't believe I've missed it all these years. Be prepared to wait in a line to eat, they are popular. I had the grouper with mango salsa, it was fresh, moist, flavorful and just plain delicious. And we had so much fun with our waitress, she was a hoot. And although we were a party of 10, they took care of it's.
Had dinner there tonight and the service and food was excellent! We had seen a long line in front of the restaurant yesterday and later heard someone say it was very good. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!
Excellent seafood choices and killer prices. Top dawg is a seafood platter for $22 that will definitely fill ya up. Kids menu too. We found this place by "best of" reviews and it is no mistake!!! 👍👍👍
Just ate at Hoskins with my family and oh my, does this place live up to the reviews. Super friendly family atmosphere, the food is among the best I've had in Myrtle Beach and MUCH more reasonably priced. Pies are $2.95 and $3.95?! Everything I had was absolutely delicious and my daughter's pan seared salmon was the best I've ever tasted. Don't let the long line outside deter you, it goes quickly. Highly recommend!!!
All around great food and service. The sweet tea was amazing! If you are concerned about Covid-19 this family business go over and beyond to make sure the employees, customer and themselves slows the spread. Can't wait to visit again!
Great food! Great service. Definitely a hidden jem here if you like down home cooking. Very clean, and was popping with business. Seafood was probably some of the best I've had and we are seafood connoisseurs.
Delicious scallop sandwich. Tender and sweet. The squash casserole is fabulous! The prices are reasonable. We'll be back.
Wonderful food. Iced Tea is good too. I was there for lunch on Tuesday. Waited in the line for about 15 minutes. I had scallop sandwich and it was good.
My waitress was a sweetheart. Just visiting the community, but will visit everytime I'm in town.
Our first night in North Myrtle Beach and after reading reviews we were excited to go eat here. Unfortunately most of our party never even got into restaurant. My husband went in and the hostess was incredibly rude. He went in and she asked him what he was doing, he replied that he was looking for the person to give his name for a table (there were several people waiting in the vestibule). She replied she was that person and proceeded to , for want of another word, herd him out the door and through the vestibule and outside. She then asked if he was with the rest of us waiting outside ( and it was cold out) when he answered yes. She said wait outside with your party we don’t have room for you. Never took our name just turned around and left. I can’t really express how rude she was in writing. The rest of the week we have had incredibly friendly servers and hostesses at other restaurants. So glad she was the only person treating us that way this week in North Myrtle Beach.
Great country food from this family owned restaurant. Stopped by there on Sunday, just before closing, and it warms my heart to see the staff and family sit down and eat Sunday lunch together. That's what builds incredible value to their business. Treat everyone like family. Great job Hoskins and the food was delicious too.
Hoskins is one of the best places to eat in Myrtle and North Myrtle. Their seafood is so delicious and fresh. I love the fried shrimp. It is tender and lightly battered and just so good. The crab cakes are awesome. My husband loves the 3 way platter with shrimp, flounder and crab cakes. The salad bar is awesome and fresh. We just love everything about this place. We have retired to Myrtle Beach and eat here St least once a week Friday lunch is our favorite and it never disappoints! Calabash fried shrimp and bone in flounder. Cole slaw is out of this world! We cannot say enough good things about Hoskins!
Best seafood ever. Can't wait to go back.
Outstanding! The food was great, portions were HUGE and the prices were very reasonable.
Hands to Jesus! The best seafood I have ever had!
I ate there with some friends for lunch. The food is delicious. You are greeted warmly and the servers are friendly and give the customers great service.
Food was great, service excellent. I got the choose two (scallops & crabcakes) they do them fried or broiled, I got them broiled. Amazing. Boyfriend got fried flounder and oysters. The only thing that could have been better was the crab soup. Truly terrible and unedible. It had no flavor and had a jello consistency. BUT seafood was AMAZING. We would definitely go back .
Came here as a kid back in the 60’s with my Grandparents, loved it then, 70’s, 80’s 90’s and now I love it taking my Grandkids. Good people, good food, good memories. My family comes here every time they’re at the beach. We’ve even made a couple special trips just too Hoskins. This virus has messed with everyone , I hope it doesn’t hurt this landmark destination. 🇺🇸
Our first meal in North Myrtle, and we couldn't be much more satisfied! We had the Scallop Sandwich, which have huge scallops, and the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, which were cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. Our only complaint is that the sweet potato fries could be crispier, but they were still delicious! Great value!
Was in North Myrtle Beach for 3 days and enjoyed a lunch, a dinner and 2 breakfasts there. This place is always dependably good. Some the best fried pork chops I've ever eaten!! Wonderful vegetables too. Highly recommend.
Do yourself a favor and get the fish here. Had salmon and flounder and they doin it righttttt 😁
Nice calabash style seafood. A little pricey. Sauteed and pan grilled shrimp is the best.
